Limo Ride for Special Boy

A ride in a limousine is a treat for everyone and one special boy in New Orleans was treated to the ultimate day which started with a ride in the perfect limousine.

Cameron Steib is eight years old and has a disease called Leigh’s Disease which makes him weak and tired and affects his motor skills. However, earlier this month, Cameron was able to forget his worries and his disease as he was the special guest of honour at the New Orleans Saints football game.

Cameron was picked up on his big day by a limousine donated by Celebrity Limousines of New Orleans and was followed out of the neighbourhood by a cheering crowd of Cameron’s classmates and neighbours.

The whole family was then taken to the Saint’s practice facility for a pre-match walk through where they were able to meet the coach and the players before the match. Cameron then went on to get the game started by presiding over the pre-match coin flip and was then surrounded by the Saintstations, the teams’ dance troupe.

Once the match had started Cameron and his family were able to watch from the upstairs radio booth, while during the second quarter, Cameron and his dad made their way to the front row seats behind the 30-yard line, right behind the Saint’s bench. Cameron was also promised that if the Saints won, he would be included in the post match celebrations, and with a close finish in favour of the Saints, Cameron and his family met the team in their locker room where the team greeted Cameron like he was any other player and the coach even picked up Cameron and carried him into the victory celebration.

This special day was organised by a New Orleans based charity called A Child’s Wish which grants wishes for children in Louisiana who have life threatening illnesses. The special day was only possible because of the generosity of the Saints football team and the limo hire company, both of whom did their best to ensure that Cameron had the ride of his life that day, while getting both some great publicity and a good feeling inside.
